Enrolment requirements
I. I. Applicants of CISS member institutions:
(Full members, associate members, adherent members, and binding members)
- CV or resume (maximum 2 sheets).
- Official application letter addressed to Dr. Emilio Carrasco, CIESS Director, indicating type of scholarship (100% or 50%). It should be submitted on letterhead paper and signed by the competent authority of the institution (only management roles), either the representative or designee to the CIESS Directorate. More than one person may be included in the same letter. Here you can download an example of an application letter.
- Valid official identification with photograph (voting card, passport or professional certificate). For international students: passport, ID card or personal identity card.
- Complete pre-registration on the On-line registration.
II. Applicants of general public:
- Motivation letter addressed to Dr. Emilio Carrasco, CIESS Director, stating candidate’s interest in the programme and engaging to cover the total cost on the given date.
- CV or resume (maximum 2 sheets).
- Valid official identification with photograph (voting card, passport or professional certificate). International students: passport, ID card or personal identity card.
- Complete pre-registration on the: On-line registration.
Enrolment process
1. Got to the CIESS website and select an activity
Take a look to our 2025 Academic Programme and select the activity of your preference. Ask for more information by completing the form.
2. School services e-mail
You will receive more details of the activity, payment indications and scholarship options.
3. Registration
You will receive your user ID and password.
Important information
- The deadline for enrolment is at least one month before the academic activity begins. Registrations will close as soon as the maximum quota is met.
- In a single e-mail send all documentation to inscripciones@ciess.org.
- You will receive a response within a maximum of 5 working days once the registration period has concluded.
- Access credentials will be provided the first day of the activity.
- Cover the costs on the day indicated according to the acceptance letter (via transfer, deposit or credit card/debit card at the premises).
- The payment for Mexicans is done in Mexican pesos at the exchange rate applicable. For international students the transfer will be in dollars via transfer or credit card (in pesos) at the premises.
- Scholarship available only for CISS member institutions personnel (100% or 50% tuition). No scholarships apply for non-members.
- To find out whether your institution is a member, contact us via: WhatsApp.
- External institutions may not apply for scholarships. Total cost must be covered.
- Limited quota. Priority will be given to CISS members, then general public.
International students
- For on-site activities in Mexico City, international participants should process migratory permits in their home countries.
- In case of a credit card payment at the premises, the amount will be collected in Mexican pesos at the applicable exchange rate.
Costs
Officials of the member institutions of the Inter-American Conference on Social Security are eligible for scholarship tuition of 100% and 50%, in accordance with Title VII of the CISS Financial Regulations.
Scholarships
Scholarships only include enrolment for on-line activities, and enrolment+ accommodation + meals for hybrid activities. This does not include teaching material nor technological resources. The scholarships will be awarded once the registration period has ended. The scholarships do not apply for activities in partnership with other institutions. Check out the CISS Financial Regulations.
Stay at CIESS
We offer accommodation and meals. Participants may use the accommodation service 24 hours before the on-site phase begins, and up to 24 hours after its closure. Please contact us if you consider additional nights of accommodation. We follow flexible check-in/check-out policies.
Accommodation
With scholarship you must share room. Guests are not allowed; premises are exclusively for the use of participants. Accommodation can be used 24 hours before the on-site phase begins, and up to 24 hours after its closure. Please contact us if you consider additional nights of accommodation. Additional nights must be paid directly at the premises with credit card (only in Mexican pesos). The hotel has an strict check-in/check-out schedule.
Meals
Breakfast and meals are included Monday to Friday. If special menu is required, please advise in advance.

Cafeteria: Service with additional cost.
Airport transfer: We do not offer transfer from/to the airport/terminal and CIESS’s premises. We recommend using authorized taxis/cabs (approx. 19-25 USD).
