The use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) is spreading rapidly in all spheres of economic and social life. Companies representing one of the main economic agents, cannot ignore this process of inclusion and attainment of potential benefits of the implementation of an ICT Governance. This also affects all those non-private organizations, such as the institutions constituting social security systems.
Among the functions of ICT Governance is to ensure the transparency and credibility of information and processes, through an efficient and effective use of ICT. It has become an integral and important component of corporate governance or management to develop strategies allowing to meet the goals of the organizations.
This course provides the participants an insight of knowledge and skills that contribute to their professional training and prepare them for participation in ICT governance, strategic processes in the organization and achievement of goals.

Dra. Wendolyn Bravo Zurita
She holds a PhD in Economics with honours from the Postgraduate Programme of the Faculty of Economics of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). Holds a Master’s Degree in Social Studies (Social Economy field) and has a degree in Economics from the Universidad Autonoma Metropolitana (UAM) Iztapalapa. She completed a research stay at the Institute of Economics of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Her research focuses on topics such as: Digital Agenda, Information and Communication Technologies and Social Security, as well as economic development, macroeconomic variables, financial and banking systems, financialization, monetary policy, credit and financing in Latin America and the Caribbean.
She has published a number of articles on financial systems, economic policy, banking systems, credit financing for development, economic development, digital economy, and information and communication technologies in social security systems in Latin America and the Caribbean.
She has taught courses at bachelor’s and master’s levels at UAM, Universidad del Valle de Mexico (UVM), the Universidad Tecnologica de México (UNITEC) and CIESS.
Former specialist at the American Commission on Organization and Administrative Systems (CAOSA), and currently works as Research and Technical Assistance Coordinator at the Inter-American Center for Social Security Studies (CIESS).
Es Doctora en Economía con Mención Honorífica por el Posgrado de la Facultad de Economía de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. Es Maestra en Estudios Sociales (línea de Economía Social) y Licenciada en Economía por la Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, Unidad Iztapalapa. Realizó una estancia de investigación en el Instituto de Economía de la Universidad Federal de Río de Janeiro, Brasil.

Su investigación se concentra en temas tales como: Agenda digital y Tecnologías de la Información y de la Comunicación y seguridad social en la región Latinoamericana y del Caribe. Así como, desarrollo económico, variables macroeconómicas, sistemas financieros y bancarios, financiarización, política monetaria, crédito y financiamiento en Latinoamérica y el Caribe.
Ha publicado diversos artículos sobre sistemas financieros, política económica, sistemas bancarios, crédito financiamiento para el desarrollo, desarrollo económico, economía digital y tecnologías de la información y la comunicación en los sistemas de seguridad social en América Latina y el Caribe.
Ha impartido cursos a nivel licenciatura y maestría en la Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, Universidad del Valle de México, la Universidad Tecnológica de México y el CIESS.
Fue especialista de la Comisión Americana de Organización y Sistemas Administrativos (CAOSA) y actualmente se desempeña como Coordinadora de Investigación y Asistencia Técnica del Centro Interamericano de Estudios de Seguridad Social (CIESS).
